How You Can Inspire Your Child to Create Beautiful Memories and Increase Confidence : Part 2

A couple of weeks ago, I had written an article on the importance of spotlighting memories and then representing and encoding them.

That article was well appreciated

Several parents commented on it and tried to encode memories with their children.

I quoted the following ways of encoding memories for students.

You have various options. Choose the one/s your child feels comfortable with. Each individual is different.

Writing
Taking pictures
Selfie videos
Audio recordings
Powerpoints
Creating memory collages (art)
Typing on laptops/ computers
Typing on the AVAZ app

Being inspired by this, several families started to encode memories of competence for their children.

I wanted to share some of these memories with you.
Take a look.

Gayatri continued to encode memories. She also started to send messages to her ‘future self’.

Check out these awesome images.

These are self explanatory. Don’t miss the effort Gayatri put into creating each of these slides!

And this was the absolute high point for me- when Gayatri sent herself these messages.

The beauty of this is- as Gayatri continues to create these powerpoint images, these memories of competence get ingrained.
Besides, she gets to hone her skills in creating powerpoint images!

These actions will lead to future independence.

In the next segment, you’ll see little Nakshatra and her dad.
Look at how Nakshatra’s dad took over the typing (to begin with).
Don’t miss Nakshatra’s focus and attention to the video segment being played for her.

I’m certain Nakshatra will start viewing herself as a smart, confident child.

The next segment is only a few seconds.
But Daksh has become aware of how others perceive him.
He’s happy to share his moments of competence.
This video made my day!

Continue to create happy memories, memories of competence for your child.
This will help them develop a deep, reflective sense of self.

From my teacher and guide, Dr Steven Gutstein:

Your child can be a life long learner, too.
