A Reminder: You are always taken care of

This 8 year old waited for her dad to pick her up from school.
She watched other students jumping happily into their parents’ cars.
When would her dad arrive? One by one, all the other children left.

She waited for what seemed like eternity. She stood there with her back pack and water bottle- all alone.
She didn’t know what to do or who to reach out to. It was difficult to wait in the hot sun.
She knew the direction to her house. She decided to walk home!
The little 8 year old, with her back pack and water bottle around her neck.

She walked for about 10 minutes straight down the road. Till she reached the roundabout.
She froze as she saw the cars zooming by. This was a high traffic point. She didn’t know how to cross over.

Suddenly, she spotted her dad’s car. He waved to her and asked her to wait. He pulled over and she hopped into the front seat of the car. Safe and secure, finally with her dad.
He apologized profusely and hugged her close. He had lost track of time and had failed to inform somebody else to pick her up from school!

She breathed a sigh of relief. All’s well that ends well.

How do I know all this?
I’m the little 8 year old.
Year- 1973. City- Dubai.

As I shared this story with my siblings, the old feelings emerged. They asked me if I was scared. Yes, I was.
But the enormity of the situation hit me.
What are the chances of walking down the street to a busy round about and finding the person you were looking for? Or rather him finding you.

This one thought struck me.
The Universe looked out for me. It always will.
This has been proven to me time and again.
Through all the difficulties of my life- small and huge.
Everything works out. No matter how difficult it seems at that time. There is always protection.

This is a reality. Not just of my life. But of yours too.

Look back at your life. How many times have you been protected and saved?
How many times has a seemingly lost situation turned around for you?

Now focus on your current difficulty.
This will turn around too. Not only will it turn around. But it will be a fortunate incident in your life.

I wish you love, peace and joy at this auspicious time.

Remember: You are always protected.
